Sebastian Magnani takes a variety of different photos and this is one of his portfolios called 'Reflections'. He uses round mirrors to capture the reflection from up above. His photos are very contrasting and bright with thought ideas of his photoshoots. This photo in particular is a reflection of the sky and clouds however it does seem to represent the moon too. I feel Sebastian chose to shoot these images on purpose in selected locations because the ground has lots of texture which makes the picture look more appealing to the eye it also correlates to reflection as when we see a moon like reflection the background looks suiting as if it was a picture of the moon in space. Magnani tries to relate the background to the mirror image such as the floral background with flowers in the mirror reflection. In his images i think Magnani would use editing software and maybe turn his image to HDR because of the great amount out of detail. Also i think he has brightened up his images, whereas for example in the cloud images the cloud looks like a grey cloud and doesn't look like it will give much light so maybe using a dodge tool to allow the mirror to brighten up.
The photographer takes use of his negative space, he centres the mirrors perfectly in the middle so that eyes aren't being drawn away from the main subject in the image. I think the artist is trying to relate his images to the environment and how reflection can represent the natural environment. It has the earthy feel to it which allows the user to see different aspects to how the environment looks.

My edits
These edits of this shoot are a result of me responding to the way Sebastian Magnani takes his photos of the urban landscape through looking at a mirror. Because of the area on the mirror was small the camera did find it hard to focus onto the mirror (After me using automatic focus instead of manual) and caused it to lose focus, so on some of the smaller mirror images i did edit the reflection into the image. On the 2nd image on the top row i did use 2 images, i swiftly used the Quick selection tool and cut out the mirror this then allowed the image behind to appear through the hole cut in the mirror. I could then arrange to what part of the image you wanted to see. I did try to get a picture that was looking upwards at the trees to give it the viewpoint of the person looking up the tree with the mirror.
