Initial Research
Amanda Ringstad is a very similar photographer to previous photographers in my project. Ringstad is a still life photographer who uses bright and attracting colours in her photoshoots capturing still life objects (In a unique and fashionable manner) The use of objects in photos like this to the left shows how natural food looks with the use of day to day objects. As much for the uniqueness, Ringstad has managed well with the negative space in the image as equal sides and the border have the same amount negative space so viewers are drawn to the subject in the centre of the image. The picture is taken in good lighting conditions as barely any shadows are reflected off the object in the middle, by the looks of it the lighting was coming from above the objects in the middle lighting up the space all around the image bringing out the colours of not only the pink background but the green asparagus. I think Ringstad planned in advance this photoshoot as not any food object would've suited being on the wheels which shows this photoshoot was well planned about. I think the use of green asparagus against a pink background stands out as you can see clear crisp detail on the asparagus and the green stands out. In this image i think Ringstad wanted to try and show how she can manipulate food into objects and make it look like it belongs there.
